Introducing the Carplounge Autopilot, a groundbreaking system that transforms the way you control your BaitBoat. Instead of using a traditional remote, this innovative solution leverages the power of your Android tablet or smartphone, with the necessary software available for free on the Google Play Store. Compatible with any Android device equipped with Bluetooth, the tablet connects seamlessly to the boat via a transmitter box, enabling full control through an intuitive touchscreen interface.
In manual mode, you can navigate your BaitBoat just as you would with a standard remote, using the touchscreen to steer. The app provides real-time updates on the boat's position, route, and orientation, complete with a compass function. Additionally, you can pinpoint and save promising fishing spots detected by the echo sounder using the built-in GPS. These locations can be named for easy reference, such as "jetty left," "spot 1," or "home."
Switch to autopilot mode, and you can select and sequence these saved points into a customized route, assigning specific actions at each location. For instance, you might program the boat to:
- Travel to "Sandbank" and open the right hopper upon arrival.
- Proceed to "Spot 2" and activate the left hopper there.
- Return to your fishing spot and signal with a blink.
Once programmed, the boat will autonomously follow the route, executing the designated actions at each waypoint. With the ability to store an almost unlimited number of spots and routes, and thanks to advanced measurement technologies including position and acceleration sensors, as well as the latest GPS and compass tech, the Carplounge Autopilot offers pinpoint accuracy—90% of the time within 30cm!
The system also intelligently manages line tension when deploying multiple rods to different spots. If you tension one or both lines while the boat is in motion, the built-in electronics detect this and adjust the boat's steering to maintain a direct course to the target, preventing unnecessary turns and line bends.
While the Carplounge Autopilot replaces the traditional remote control, we understand the value of flexibility. That's why we offer the option to connect a remote control to the autopilot, allowing you to switch between tablet and remote control at your convenience. The app is optimized for 10-inch Android tablets, ensuring smooth and responsive control via the touchscreen.
