While many chess AI mobile games exist, ChessCraft stands out by allowing you to craft wacky boards and pieces, and immediately test them against a competent computer opponent. Design new pieces with any combination of the 8 bishop or rook slides, plus a 7x7 grid of knight-like hops. Enhance or restrict the capabilities of nearby pieces, and create boards with any enabled or disabled tile up to 16x16. Set promotion rules for any piece, anywhere, and implement tile rules like witch windows (teleporters), sanctuaries, and more. The AI opponent leverages concepts from computer science and graph theory to understand and compete against your innovative setups.
When you share a board, your friends can also challenge the AI. Sharing generates a unique web page for your design, such as:
