The main objective in Hearts is to end the game with the lowest score. You must follow suit (Clubs) when possible. If you cannot, you may play any card—except you are not allowed to play a Heart or the Queen of Spades on the opening trick. The player who places the highest card of the suit that started the trick collects the trick and leads the next one. Each Heart taken in that trick gives 1 point, and the Queen of Spades gives 13 points. However, if one player captures all the Hearts and the Queen of Spades—known as Shooting the Moon—they score 0, and all other players receive 26 points! The game concludes as soon as any player reaches or surpasses 100 points.
