Big news for fans of the Now You See Me franchise: the third installment, officially titled Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, is set to hit theaters on November 14, 2025. Even more exciting, a fourth film is already in development.
This announcement was made by Adam Fogelson, chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, at CinemaCon. The franchise, which has grossed over $700 million globally, continues to captivate audiences with its blend of action and heist elements.
Director Ruben Fleischer, who is helming Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, has also signed on to direct the fourth installment. Fleischer, known for his work on Zombieland, Uncharted, and Venom, is excited to continue with the series, stating, "Directing Now You See Me: Now You Don’t was as much fun as making any movie in my career. It combines two of my favorite things — heist movies and magic — and working with this incredible cast was truly magical. Of course, I want to keep it going."
Now You See Me: Now You Don’t will see the return of original stars Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson, alongside new additions Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, Ariana Greenblatt, and Rosamund Pike. The first two films featured a talented cast including Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Morgan Freeman.
Bobby Cohen, the producer behind all the films in the series, will again produce alongside Alex Kurtzman of Secret Hideout. Meredith Wieck will oversee the project for Lionsgate.
Adam Fogelson praised Fleischer's work, saying, "Ruben has delivered all of the twists and turns and sleight-of-hand that audiences expect from this franchise while upping the stakes and scale in every way. We can’t wait for audiences to discover what he’s done with the third film and are thrilled he’ll be making even more magic with us."
IGN previously reviewed the first two films, giving Now You See Me a 6.3/10, noting, "Now You See Me seemed so promising, but it squanders its cool cast and nifty premise on smarmy, shallow characters and a flimsy, nonsensical plot." The sequel, Now You See Me 2, received a 6.2, with IGN stating, "Now You See Me 2 isn't the worst magic act in town, but it's all flash and no substance."
With the third and fourth films in the pipeline, fans can look forward to more thrilling adventures and magical heists from the Now You See Me franchise.
