AI-Powered Companions Arrive in PUBG and inZOI: A CES 2025 Revelation
CES 2025 has unveiled groundbreaking advancements in mobile gaming, with one of the most significant being Krafton's announcement of the AI-driven "Co-Playable Character" (CPC). This innovative concept, revealed on January 8th, brings interactive Non-Playable Characters (NPCs) to both PUBG and inZOI.
In inZOI, the CPC, dubbed "Smart Zoi," will possess unique personalities and emotional depth, promising more realistic and engaging interactions within the simulation.
PUBG's implementation, known as "PUBG Ally," will focus on adaptive strategies, enhancing player dynamics. Whether this feature proves exciting or unsettling remains to be seen.
Developed in collaboration with NVIDIA ACE, the CPC technology enables real-time conversations and dynamically adjusting scenarios. Kangwook Lee, Head of Krafton's Deep Learning Division, stated, "Our partnership with NVIDIA highlights AI's transformative power in gaming, and we're committed to exploring its full potential."
