How to Respec Your Character in Avowed (& When You Want To)

Choosing the perfect character build right from the start can be a challenge. That's where respeccing becomes invaluable. If you're not enjoying your current playstyle, it's time to respec. I've experienced this myself in *Avowed*; I initially went for a full wizard build, only to get overwhelmed, so I switched to a spellsword. As you progress, you might want to respec to enhance your combat effectiveness and achieve your ideal build.

How to Respec Your Abilities in Avowed

To respec your abilities in *Avowed*, navigate to the "Abilities" section in the menu. At the bottom of the screen, you'll find the "Reset Points" option. The initial cost is 100 Copper Skeyt, which increases as you play. Confirm your choice, pay the fee, and all your ability points will be reset across all skill trees, except for the "Godlike" abilities, which remain unchanged and are determined by in-game choices.

How to Respec Your Attributes in Avowed

If you're content with your abilities but want to tweak your attributes, or if you're looking to overhaul everything, head to the "Character" section in the menu. At the bottom, beneath the attribute names, you'll see a button to respec, along with the associated cost. The initial cost is 100 Copper Skeyt, which will increase over time. Click the button, pay the fee, and enjoy your reclaimed Attribute points.

How to Respec Your Companion in Avowed

To respec your companion in *Avowed*, go to the "Abilities" section in the menu and select the "Companions" tab. Under your companion's name, you'll find an icon that allows you to respec by spending the listed amount of Copper Skeyt. Confirm your choice, and you'll regain all of that character’s points. Remember, you need to respec each companion individually.

And that’s the complete guide on how to respec in *Avowed*. Now you can fine-tune your character and companions to suit your playstyle perfectly.

*Avowed is available now.*
