This guide details how to find and romance this intriguing character at Sharess' Caress. This brief romance is easily missed, occurring during a pivotal game moment.
Locating Naoise Nallinto
Act III and Sharess' Caress: Your journey begins in Act III. Travel to Wyrm's Crossing, located on the route to Baldur's Gate. You'll need to visit Sharess' Caress, a brothel east of the bridge leading into Baldur's Gate. If you've already explored Wyrm's Crossing, use the "South Span of Wyrm's Crossing" fast travel point for direct access.
The Nymph's Grotto: On the second floor, locate a door with a green light and ivy. This leads to the Nymph's Grotto. The door is locked, requiring a lockpicking skill check of 10 or higher to open.
Pursuing the Romance
An Unexpected Encounter: Inside, you'll find Naoise with Jara, a Flaming Heart soldier. Interrupting their encounter will trigger a confrontation. Choose your dialogue carefully. The following options worked in our playthrough:
- "Whoever you think I am, you're mistaken." (This response initiates the conflict.)
Defeat the transformed Mindflayer Jara. Naoise's subsequent interest in Mindflayers opens a unique romantic opportunity. Consider these responses:
- "Your client is dead. I thought you'd be more upset."
A successful Insight check reveals Naoise's romantic inclination. Continue with:
- "That creature aroused you, didn't it?" (Avoid judgmental responses.)
- "What did you have in mind?"
- "Close your eyes and listen."
The Mental Romance: The ensuing romance is entirely mental. Naoise presents choices defining your shared experience:
- Revered
- Contented
- Powerful
- Rich
- I think we're done here.
Our playthrough chose "Contented," resulting in a brief romantic scene. This encounter is unique; Naoise will not be interested in further romantic interactions after this event.
Consequences and Rewards: Shadowheart will grant you the "Carnal Rituals of Sharess" inspiration point. The successful completion of this romance provides the "Rapture" boon, granting a passive +1d6 to various ability checks. Note that this romance appears unaffected by existing relationships with other characters.
