The Dark Knight's reign in the video game world was once a near-constant stream of new titles. Rocksteady's Batman Arkham series, in particular, revolutionized superhero gaming, setting a high bar that continues to influence the genre today.
Yet, the Bat-signal has dimmed considerably in recent years. A true, standalone Batman game hasn't graced our screens since 2017's The Enemy Within, and the future remains uncertain. While comic book fans eagerly await upcoming superhero games, those yearning to don the cowl will find the best Batman gaming experiences in the titles of yesteryear.

He featured prominently in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, though it's not strictly a Batman game. More importantly, the Arkhamverse expanded into VR.
