Season 2 of *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* has officially kicked off today, bringing with it an exciting new feature that simplifies the progression grind. The introduction of the Camo Challenge Tracking feature is a game-changer for players aiming to enhance their weapons with unique camos. Here's a quick guide to understanding and utilizing this new system effectively.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Gives Simple Access to Camo Challenge Progress
In the latest patch notes for *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6*, the new Camo Challenge Tracking feature is highlighted as a tool that "makes it easy for players to manually track up to 10 Camo and 10 Calling Card Challenges they’re actively working toward." Additionally, the system introduces a "Near Completion" feature, which is particularly helpful for those striving to reach the prestigious Dark Matter, Nebula, and 100 Percenter camos.
This innovative feature lets you manually select 10 camos to track, providing easy access to your progress anytime during gameplay. No more navigating through menus to check your status; the tracker keeps you informed. It also offers timely notifications for challenges nearing completion, even if they're not among your chosen ones to track.

How To Track Camo and Calling Card Challenges in Black Ops 6
To start tracking a challenge, navigate to the specific Camo or Calling Card challenge you want to monitor. On an Xbox controller, press the Y button, or on a PlayStation controller, press Triangle to add that challenge to your tracker. This allows you to monitor your progress in real-time during live matches, making it easier to focus on what you need to do next to advance to the next camo.
Even if you haven't manually selected a challenge, the game automatically populates the tracker with challenges you're close to completing. These are always available for quick reference, ensuring you're always informed about what you're about to unlock.
You can also view your top tracked or near-complete camo and calling card challenges in the *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* lobby under the Daily Challenge section, giving you a comprehensive overview of what's close to being unlocked.
With the Season 2 update, unlocking special camos has become more manageable. Previously, you needed to unlock nine military camos before accessing a special camo. Now, the requirement has been reduced to just five military camos. However, to achieve the mastery camos, you'll still need to unlock two special camos.
There's been much discussion about the extensive range of camos available for each weapon and the challenges in tracking progress and earning the necessary headshots and kills. It's clear that Treyarch has taken player feedback to heart, introducing more efficient ways to track and unlock camos, thereby enhancing the overall enjoyment of *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6*.
