Get ready, Pokémon Go trainers! February's Community Day is bringing a double dose of excitement with Karrablast and Shelmet taking center stage. Mark your calendars: the event runs from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time on February 9th, 2025.
Meet the Stars: Karrablast and Shelmet
Prepare for a flurry of Karrablast and Shelmet encounters! These two Pokémon will be appearing much more frequently in the wild, increasing your chances of catching them—and maybe even their shiny variants!
The real reward, however, lies in their evolutions. Evolve Karrablast anytime between the event start and 10:00 p.m. local time on February 16th to obtain an Escavalier knowing the powerful Charged Attack, Razor Shell (35 power in Trainer Battles, 55 power in Gyms and Raids). Similarly, evolving Shelmet within this timeframe grants you an Accelgor with the equally impressive Energy Ball (90 power in all battle types).
Special Research and Timed Research Await
This Community Day offers a Special Research event, rewarding you with encounters featuring Karrablast and Shelmet with special Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds, plus a Premium Battle Pass and Rare Candy XL.
The fun doesn't stop there! A Timed Research event follows the main event, lasting a whole week. Log in during Community Day to unlock tasks that provide further encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet, again boasting those unique backgrounds.
