Clash of Clans is set for a massive overhaul in March 2025, addressing long-standing player requests with one of the most significant updates in the game's history. Many features are being retired to streamline gameplay.
No More Troop, Spell, or Siege Machine Training Time!
Prepare for a faster-paced battle experience! The update eliminates troop, spell, and siege machine training times, allowing for back-to-back attacks without interruption. Hero recovery time is also removed, keeping your heroes constantly in the fight. This change applies to Titan League and below; the Legend League retains its eight-battle daily limit for now. This is a continuation of Supercell's effort to remove outdated mechanics, following the removal of training costs in 2022. By eliminating training time, Supercell aims to provide a more fluid and barrier-free gameplay experience.
Adjustments to Accompany the Changes:
With the removal of training times, Training Potions and Training Treats become obsolete. They will be removed from in-app purchase bundles, and any remaining potions and treats in player inventories will be converted into Gems.
Introducing the New Match Anytime System!
To ensure continuous battles, a new Match Anytime system is introduced. When real bases are unavailable, this system allows you to attack snapshot bases—saved versions of shielded player bases. These battles function identically to regular attacks, providing loot and trophy gains without impacting the defender's resources. This system, already in use for Clan Wars and Legend League, is now expanding to multiplayer battles.
Further Tweaks and Adjustments:
To balance the increased battle frequency, the number of trophies awarded per victory is being adjusted. Additionally, Clan Castle request timers are being standardized to 10 minutes for all players.
