Year of Prophecy Roadmap Revealed at Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate Reveal Event
Destiny 2, the beloved free-to-play multiplayer shooter, continues to evolve with fresh content. At the Edge of Fate reveal livestream on May 7, Bungie shared the Year of Prophecy roadmap, detailing the events planned for the year ahead. This roadmap introduces a new format for annual updates, where each year will now include four major content releases: two paid expansions and two major updates accessible to all players.
These updates will bring a host of new events, Exotic Missions, gear, and rewards. Importantly, the new structure ensures that seasonal activities won't require paid access, allowing every player to enjoy Destiny 2's significant updates.
The Edge of Fate Launches July 15
Kicking off the Year of Prophecy, Destiny 2's first expansion, The Edge of Fate, will launch on July 15. Players will venture to a new location called Kepler, where they'll harness never-before-seen abilities with the help of new allies. This update also introduces the Portal, a new activity selection screen designed to make it easier for players to jump into activities that match their preferred playstyles.

Renegades Coming on December 2
Later in the year, on December 2, Destiny 2 will release its second expansion, Renegades, which marks a unique collaboration with the iconic Star Wars franchise.
