Acquire Your Pet
Upon launching Diablo 4 Season 7, immediately visit the nearest town's Wardrobe. Claim your pet! While combat-ineffective, your pet efficiently gathers gold and materials, freeing you to focus on combat and loot.
Recruit Your Mercenaries
Vessel of Hatred expansion owners should visit the Den to recruit Mercenaries. Solo players can utilize two, significantly easing leveling and combat. Cultivate Rapport for added rewards.
Conquer the Seasonal Questline
Begin on Normal difficulty and follow the green leaf-marked seasonal questline. This introduces Season 7 mechanics, including Headhunt zones, Grim Favors (for the Tree of Whispers), and Witch powers. While relatively short, it includes puzzles and primarily involves farming Favors in Headhunt zones – the optimal path to level 60. Continuously farm Headhunt zone bosses, collect Favors, and upgrade Witch powers concurrently.
Unlock Class Power
Previously completed class-specific priority quests are automatically unlocked; simply log in with a pre-existing character (on the Eternal realm) of the same class before starting your Season 7 character. Your class power unlocks upon reaching the required level.
Mastering Headhunt Zones
Focus on completing Whispers within Headhunt zones. Prioritize smaller zones for increased enemy density and faster mob farming. Prioritize these Whisper quests:
- Fugitive Shepherd: Escort animals.
- Fugitive: Defeat Elites, interact with roots to recover a head or destroy a husk.
Exchange 10 Grim Favors for a cache at the Tree of Whispers, or utilize the Raven of the Tree (found in each Headhunt zone).
Harnessing Witchcraft Powers
Purchase and upgrade Witchcraft powers at the Tree of Whispers using Restless Rot (obtained by killing Rot enemies). Prioritize damage upgrades. Forgotten Altars (found in dungeons, Nightmare Dungeons, Pits, and Rootholds at Torment 1 or higher, or with a Draught of Whispers) offer unique Witch powers.
Exploring Rootholds
Access Rootholds (a new dungeon type) using Whispering Wood (obtained from Whispers and Silent Chests). Similar to Infernal Hordes, Rootholds offer rogue-lite modifiers impacting loot quality. Open Exposed Roots for loot. Save keys for Torment 1 for optimal Ancestral loot.
Utilizing Occult Gems
Craft Occult Gems (superior to regular gems) with Gelena at the Tree of Whispers. These require Restless Rot and Heads (dropped by Roothold bosses and Fugitives; increased chance with a Draught of Whispers). Focus on these in the late game.
Taming Pits, Infernal Hordes, and Nightmare Dungeons
Continue incorporating Pits (for Glyph leveling) and Nightmare Dungeons (for Glyphs) into your routine. Farm Infernal Hordes for masterworking materials to enhance Uniques.
