Digimon's latest mobile TCG, Digimon Alysion, was unveiled at DIGIMON CON 2025, stirring excitement among fans. This new addition to the Digimon universe is being developed by Bandai Namco, aiming to capture the success seen with other mobile card games like Pokémon TCG Pocket and Marvel Snap. Digimon Alysion will offer players a free-to-play experience, allowing them to collect cards featuring various Digimon and characters, build decks, and engage in battles with other players. A standout feature of Digimon Alysion is its in-depth story mode, promising a richer gameplay experience beyond typical and competitive modes.
During the DIGIMON CON 2025 livestream on March 20, Bandai Namco provided a sneak peek of Digimon Alysion with a new trailer. This trailer not only showcased snippets of gameplay but also introduced an all-female cast for the speculated story mode, featuring characters like Kanata Hondo, Futre, and Valner Dragnogh, alongside a new Digimon called Gemmon. While an official release date remains unannounced, the presentation hinted at an upcoming closed beta test, with more details to be shared later.

In addition to Digimon Alysion, DIGIMON CON 2025 shed more light on Digimon Story: Time Stranger. Producer Ryosuke Hara discussed the game's background, key characters, and the unique moves of some featured Digimon. He confirmed that players will start with popular Digimon from the original Digimon Adventure anime - Patamon, Gomamon, and DemiDevimon, as previously speculated by fans due to their presence in the game's promotional artwork.

Hara also revealed that Digimon Story: Time Stranger will boast over 450 Digimon, the largest roster in the series to date. Notable Digimon such as Angewomon, Gallantmon, and the beloved Agumon were highlighted in the new trailer. Players can choose between two protagonists, Dan Yuki and Kanan Yuki, who are secret agents for the organization ADAMAS, tasked with uncovering threats to humans and Digimon. The game's narrative will revolve around time travel, with Inori Misono and her partner Aegiomon playing crucial roles in the adventure.

The event was packed with additional announcements, including a special 25th Anniversary PV for the Digimon Anime, new starter decks and booster packs for the Digimon Trading Card Game, and the announcement of a new anime series, Digimon Beatbreak, set to premiere in October 2025. With these exciting developments, the Digimon franchise is poised for a vibrant future, encouraging fans to stay tuned for more updates throughout the year.
