Disney is reportedly developing a secret Star Wars horror project, as revealed by Andor creator Tony Gilroy.
The visionary behind Lucasfilm's latest critical success shared insights during a recent Business Insider interview. When discussing potential darker Star Wars narratives, Gilroy hinted that Disney already has such a project underway.
"They're doing that. I think they're doing that," Gilroy remarked about the horror-themed Star Wars venture. "Yes, it's definitely in development."

If true, this could mark Star Wars' first full-fledged exploration of the Dark Side on screen, though details remain scarce. The project could take form as a series, film, or entirely new format, with no confirmed creative leads yet. While official announcements might be years away, Gilroy's comments confirm Disney executives are considering darker storytelling avenues.
"With the right creator, timing, and creative vision...no concept is off-limits," Gilroy added, reflecting on Andor's creative latitude. "Our hope is that Andor's success creates opportunities for other bold visions within the Star Wars universe."
