Dredge Mobile Port Delayed: Closed Beta in December

Author : Layla Dec 11,2024

The mobile port of Dredge, the Lovecraftian-inspired fishing horror game, has been pushed back to February 2025. However, Black Salt Games has announced a new closed beta with open registration to soften the blow.

Dredge casts players as a fisherman in the unsettling town of Greater Marrow. Initially, the job involves the straightforward task of catching and selling fish. However, the tranquil fishing quickly descends into a terrifying journey filled with bizarre sea creatures, mysterious entities, and the looming threat of madness. A nearby, enigmatic island adds another layer of unsettling mystery.

Interested players can register for the closed mobile beta via a Google Form. Despite the delay, Dredge's numerous awards and critical acclaim suggest the wait will be worthwhile for those who haven't experienced this unique blend of fishing and cosmic horror.

The delay is understandable, considering the significant task of porting such a rich and detailed game to mobile. A further closed beta is a smart move, allowing for valuable player feedback and ensuring a smoother mobile experience. This allows Black Salt Games to refine the game before its official launch.
