Solo Players Get Major Boost
The 1.01.1 patch introduces crucial solo mode improvements across all platforms, including a new "Automatic Revival Upon Defeat" mechanic that grants one respawn per night boss encounter. Additionally, solo expeditions now yield increased rune rewards.
These changes address player feedback about Nightreign's punishing solo difficulty. As noted in IGN's Elden Ring Nightreign review: "While technically offering a single-player option, the initial balance made solo play prohibitively challenging for all but the most dedicated Soulsborne veterans."
