Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl boasts a diverse arsenal, allowing players to tailor their loadout to their preferred combat style. Beyond standard firearms, unique weapons with enhanced stats and modifications exist, including the Cavalier sniper rifle. This unique weapon, featuring a red-dot sight instead of a traditional scope, excels in close-to-medium range engagements. Here's how to acquire it.
Acquiring the Cavalier Sniper Rifle
The Cavalier is located within the Duga base, specifically in a warehouse adjacent to a greenhouse near the Military Unit. You might already be familiar with this area if you've previously retrieved the Journalist's stash. Access is easiest via the secondary entrance.
Accessing the Warehouse
Upon entering Duga, navigate towards the Military Unit building (marked on your map). Circumvent the building itself to reach the greenhouse at its rear. Beware of two Pseudogiants patrolling this area; they're hostile. Approach cautiously to avoid confrontation.
Proceed through the greenhouse into the warehouse. Be prepared for a rat infestation upon entry. Utilize the elevated platforms at the rear of the warehouse to avoid sustained damage. A grenade effectively eliminates this threat.
Retrieving the Cavalier
After clearing the rats, examine the warehouse ceiling above the greenhouse entrance. Locate the yellow-painted wooden boards. Destroy these boards with your weapon to dislodge the Cavalier sniper rifle.
Once you have the Cavalier, you can have it upgraded by Screw, the technician at Rostok base. Its high damage and accuracy are further enhanced through upgrades and modifications. The red-dot sight makes it an excellent choice for players who prefer a scope-less sniper rifle, effective in close-to-medium range combat.
