In Freedom Wars Remastered, every Abductor comes equipped with a visible health bar on its torso, guiding players in their battle strategy. Players have an array of combat items and weapons at their disposal, each tailored to chip away at the Abductor's health and secure victory. The game's combat system is enriched with various damage types, each serving a distinct purpose. While Light Melee weapons are designed to sever specific parts of the Abductor, Impact Damage plays a crucial role in the overall combat strategy.

Mastering the use of Impact Damage can significantly enhance your efficiency in defeating Abductors swiftly. This guide delves into the mechanics of Impact Damage and provides tips on how to leverage it effectively in Freedom Wars Remastered.

What Does Impact Damage Do In Freedom Wars Remastered?

Impact Damage, commonly associated with Heavy Melee and certain Ranged Weapons, is a key element in combat. You might see a percentage next to Impact Damage, but this doesn't directly increase your total damage output. Instead, it boosts the power of your non-elemental attacks, which in turn accelerates the Abductor's stagger rate. When the stagger meter, though invisible, reaches its threshold, the Abductor will stagger, fall, or react uniquely, creating a window for you to deal substantial damage.

The stagger effect can be a double-edged sword. In offline mode, you can prepare a powerful attack during this window. However, in online play, staggering might disrupt your team's coordinated attacks. Some Abductors, like Ramosa, may even retreat upon staggering, making it trickier to land precise hits or binds.

How To Increase Stagger Damage In Freedom Wars Remastered

To boost your Stagger Damage, unlocking the Weapon Development Facility is essential. This facility offers a platform for crafting and customizing your gear, with various options for weapon enhancements. Use the Manufacture Modules feature to create a Stagger Damage Up Module, requiring Glassy Carbon—a resource you can gather during Basic Operations. Once you have the necessary materials, you can use the Synthesise Modules option to combine multiple modules of the same type, enhancing their effectiveness. After crafting, attach the module to your weapon to amplify its Impact Damage, thereby improving your ability to stagger Abductors in combat.

Given that Impact Damage is non-elemental, prioritizing physical damage upgrades over elemental ones will maximize your stagger potential. This makes the Stagger Damage Up Module especially beneficial for players wielding heavy melee or specific ranged weapons designed to excel at inducing stagger.
