How To Beat The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact
As the Natlan Archon Quest in Genshin Impact draws to a close, the game's lore continues to unfold, revealing long-speculated secrets and introducing new challenges in combat. Each nation in Genshin Impact features two weekly bosses, and the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire stands out as a formidable adversary, potentially more dangerous than its counterparts.
This colossal dragon, wielding dual swords, embodies the primal force that once governed Natlan. Its fearsome appearance, enhanced by Gosoythoth's influence, showcases the malevolent power of the Abyss. Similar to the Riftwolves from Inazuma, the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire inflicts the Corrosion effect, making the battle challenging yet conquerable. Here’s a detailed guide on how to defeat the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire in Genshin Impact.
Where To Find The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact
The Lord of Eroded Primal Fire resides in the Stone Stele Records domain, located just south of the Statue of Seven near the Masters of the Night-Wind tribe. This domain is housed within a shrine commemorating the fallen of the Natlan battle. Upon entering the domain, players can claim rewards using 30 Original Resin for the first three weekly boss encounters.
To access this boss, players must complete the final chapter of the Archon Quest: When All Becomes A Monument. Alternatively, if you choose not to finish the story, you can enter the domain using the Quick Challenge feature found in the Adventurer’s Handbook.
How To Beat The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact
Successfully defeating the Lord of Eroded Prial Fire often requires characters from Natlan, such as Mavuika, Kinich, Citlali, and Mualani, due to their unique abilities.
Although the dragon remains relatively stationary for much of the fight, it will summon three Pillars and three Tenebrous Mimiflora. These can be more easily defeated with characters possessing Nightsoul Blessings.
Make Sure To Destroy The Three Pillars With Nightsoul Blessing
While it's possible to use other characters to destroy the summoned Pillars, doing so takes significantly longer. Utilizing Natlan characters like Mavuika, Citlali, Kinich, or Kachina will expedite the process, allowing you to quickly prevent the Dragon's Eroded Meteor strike. Destroying the pillars will immobilize the Dragon for about 10 seconds, giving you a brief window to inflict damage.
However, if the pillars aren't destroyed quickly enough, the meteor strike will commence. In this case, ensure you have a shield equipped and switch to your healer. Healers like Furina, Kokomi, Kuki, Barbara, or Bennett are essential to counteract the Corrosion effect and sustain through the attack.
Try Your Best To Dodge Or Stay Underneath The Dragon
Dodging the dragon's unpredictable attacks can be challenging. The dragon often transforms into smoke and moves erratically around the arena, making its next move hard to predict. Its attacks include sword slashes and smashes that alter the battlefield, reducing the space available for maneuvering.
When the battlefield is compromised, staying close to the dragon and attacking from underneath can be effective. However, remain vigilant, as the dragon's Eroded Dragon Breath attack inflicts Pyro and Erosion damage. Be well-shielded and keep healing active to survive. If overwhelmed, retreat to the edges of the battlefield, near its hands, to avoid the Dragon Breath's reach. Immediate healing is crucial to counteract the Erosion effect from sword slashes.
A strong healer is indispensable for this fight, so make sure to bring one along.
Co-Op Mode and Matching
Regardless of whether you have Natlan characters, Co-Op Mode can be a game-changer. Joining forces with others who have characters with Nightsoul Blessings can significantly ease the Pillar phase. Simply select the 'Match' button upon entering the domain to find a team and tackle the boss more effectively.
Fortunately, this fight lacks multiple phases, unlike some previous Weekly Bosses, though it still demands considerable time and strategy to overcome.
