This week, developer Arrowhead introduced the full-scale Illuminate invasion, introducing new enemy types along the way. The in-universe narrative hinted that the Illuminate were en route to Super Earth, and now a potential leak from the official Czech Republic PlayStation Twitter account implies that not only will the Illuminate reach our home planet, but players will also have to defend it.
Redditor xTekshi noticed the now-deleted tweet, which mentioned a "Heart of Democracy" update scheduled for May 20. Although "Heart of Democracy" is referenced in Arrowhead's promotional materials for this week's update, neither Sony nor Arrowhead has officially confirmed it for a May 20 release.
Further fueling speculation is the timing of the leak, which aligns with the conclusion of the current Major Order.

This development feels almost inevitable, given the language used by Sony and Arrowhead ("High Command believes this Fleet's ultimate objective to be the invasion of Super Earth itself" and "Battle on Super Earth is inevitable"). As such, many fans believe the Czech account accidentally revealed Helldivers 2's next major update, complete with plans to battle on Super Earth. If accurate, this would mark a significant expansion for the game, moving beyond its current alien planet settings to include gameplay on our home turf. Fighting on Super Earth would undoubtedly introduce fresh challenges and dynamics for players.
