Insomniac Games almost gave us Resistance 4. While a pitch was made and the concept was strong, according to outgoing president Ted Price, timing and market opportunities ultimately prevented its development. In a recent interview with Kinda Funny Games, Price revealed this unmade game as a personal favorite, expressing his and the team's passion for continuing the series' unique alternate history storyline involving the Chimera. The Resistance series, a trilogy of first-person shooters set in a 1951 UK invaded by aliens, concluded on the PlayStation 3 before Insomniac shifted focus to titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man and newer Ratchet & Clank installments. Price recently announced his retirement after over three decades at Insomniac, passing the torch to Chad Dezern, Ryan Schneider, and Jen Huang as Co-Studio Heads. Insomniac's latest release, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, recently launched on PC, with Marvel’s Wolverine next on the horizon.
