Marvel has unveiled the first trailer for "Ironheart," the much-anticipated MCU series set to premiere on Disney+. In this series, Dominique Thorne returns as the armored superhero Riri Williams, a character she first portrayed in "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" in 2022. Anthony Ramos joins the cast as Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood. The trailer provides a glimpse into what fans can expect from the mini-series, which centers on Riri Williams' journey to becoming a prominent superhero in her own right, following her supporting role in the MCU to date.
Parker Robbins / The Hood is introduced as a character who initially seeks to help Williams unlock her potential, though his true intentions remain ambiguous, suggesting a deeper complexity to his role."Ironheart," executive produced by Ryan Coogler, is set to launch with a three-episode premiere on June 24 at 6pm PT/9pm ET, exclusively on Disney+.
In the trailer, Riri describes her experience in "Wakanda Forever" as an "internship abroad." After being expelled from MIT, she faces a pivotal moment influenced by The Hood's challenge: "Anyone who has accomplished anything has to do questionable things. Are you in or out?" We witness Ironheart donning her suit, soaring through the skies, and engaging in high-octane action, including a dramatic scene where she grounds herself to punch a truck, sending it soaring over her head.
