Metro Quester – Hack & Slash, a unique dungeon exploring RPG, is now available on Android. Unlike typical KEMCO titles, this game dives deep into the gritty, old-school dungeon crawler genre while maintaining its roots as a turn-based JRPG.
Seek the Truth of a Lost World
In Metro Quester, you lead a crew of scavengers on a desperate quest underground to gather resources before your weekly food quota runs out. The critical number to remember is 100 – you need to collect 100 food units every seven in-game days to survive.
Your journey takes you through monster-filled ruins in areas like Otemachi and Ginza, scavenging for leftovers. Importantly, you can only level up once you return to a safe camp, provided you've survived and collected enough resources.
With 24 unique characters to choose from, each belonging to one of eight distinct classes, you have the freedom to customize your team's combo skills, weapons, and strategies. Each ability costs action points, with a limit of five points per turn and one use per ability each round, making strategic planning essential.
As you explore the dungeon, it unfolds before you. You might uncover food buried in the dirt, stumble upon monster nests, find keys to unlock new areas, or even discover a campground to establish a new base.
Metro Quester – Hack & Slash Is Now Out on Android
The game's aesthetic is deliberately minimalistic, featuring a bleak and colorless environment that starkly contrasts with your vibrant team. You can get a closer look at the game's atmosphere in the official trailer below.
For those who enjoy replaying games with increased difficulty, Metro Quester offers a NEW GAME+ mode after completing the main content.
Metro Quester – Hack & Slash is now available on the Google Play Store for Android devices at a price of $14.99. Note that the game does not support game controllers and is available only in English and Japanese.
