In Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (also known as Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii), recruiting crew members is key to your pirate adventure. This guide focuses on acquiring Kraken-Chan and recruiting Surfer Jay, a powerful addition to Captain Majima's Goro Pirates.

Surfer Jay in Pirate Yakuza

Surfer Jay, located in Honolulu, boasts superior base stats compared to earlier recruits. However, his recruitment requires a specific item and a bit of legwork. While the order isn't crucial, obtaining Kraken-Chan in Madlantis first simplifies the process.

Travel to Madlantis and head to the arcade games near the Madlantis Golf Range. A UFO Catcher game contains the coveted blue Kraken-Chan plush. Note that Kraken-Chan isn't always available; if not, ask the attendant to change the prizes.

Winning Kraken-Chan might take several attempts; ensure you have sufficient cash. Strategically use the claw to nudge the plush into the prize slot. Once obtained, return to Honolulu.

Locate Surfer Jay at Tropical Coco in the Anaconda Shopping Center (use the mini-map to find the recruit symbol if needed). He'll reveal his romantic woes. Present him with Kraken-Chan to win him over and add him to your crew. While he doesn't offer unique perks as First Mate or Boarding Squad Leader, he's a valuable addition for completionists.

This completes the process of acquiring Kraken-Chan and recruiting Surfer Jay in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
