After Four Years of Launch, Alchemy Stars Shutting Down and Getting an Offline Version

Alchemy Stars is shutting down its online services on January 24th, 2025, but will transition to an offline version. This means players can still replay the story and access their saved progress.

Shutdown Date and Offline Transition:

The game's online servers will be deactivated on January 24th, 2025. Before this, a crucial maintenance update (version 1.43.0) will occur on January 10th, from 4:00 to 9:00 GMT. This update introduces a local data save feature.

Saving Your Progress:

After the January 10th maintenance, a data save button will appear on the main menu. Players must save their game data before January 24th at 4:00 GMT; unsaved progress will be lost permanently. Multiple saves are permitted until the deadline.

Offline Version Limitations:

The offline version will be a static experience with no further updates. Deleting the app will result in irreversible data loss; re-downloading or reinstalling will not be possible. The offline mode allows replaying the story, accessing saved data, and upgrading units.

Conclusion:

While a complete shutdown would have been more drastic, the offline version offers a chance to preserve progress and revisit the game's content. Download Alchemy Stars from the Google Play Store before the online servers close. Stay tuned for our upcoming coverage of Play Together's first 2025 update, featuring new Club features!
