LEGO has unveiled an exciting lineup of nine brand new Star Wars sets, all set to launch on May 1, 2025. This release is part of Disney's extensive celebration of May the 4th, known as Star Wars Day, which LEGO traditionally marks with the launch of a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship. In 2023, LEGO delighted fans with Luke's X-Wing Starfighter, followed by the TIE Interceptor in 2024.
This year's highlight is Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, widely recognized among Star Wars enthusiasts as Slave I (available at the LEGO Store). The name was updated to Firespray in 2021 at Disney's request, a change that LEGO has confirmed and maintained. This adjustment reflects Disney's sensitivity to the connotations associated with the term 'slave.'

The most recent 'large' edition of this LEGO starship was released in 2019, celebrating the 20th anniversary with 1007 pieces, portraying the ship as seen in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The new LEGO version, inspired by Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones, boasts an impressive 2970 pieces, making it nearly three times larger than its predecessor. Measuring 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide, this set promises to be a standout addition to any collection.
