Marvel Snap goes back to the stone age with its latest season, Prehistoric Avengers

Author : Owen Mar 22,2025

Marvel Snap's newest season, Prehistoric Avengers, is here, bringing with it prehistoric versions of the Avengers, including the first Sorcerer Supreme, Agamotto, the original Phoenix host Firehair, and more! This season introduces a new card type: Skills. These cards represent actions and abilities, are banished after use, have no power, but cost less energy to play.

Ever wondered about the Avengers' origins, Odin's pre-Thor/Loki days, or Agamotto's identity? Prehistoric Avengers answers these questions and more. While not their first appearance, these prehistoric Avengers—including the first Black Panther, Firehair, Agamotto, and Khonshu—are now available as cards with unique and powerful abilities.

Beyond the new cards, two exciting locations join the fray: the Star Brand crater (grants extra energy if you have the highest power there) and the Celestial Burial Ground (allows discarding a card for a replacement of the same cost). New Spotlight Caches offer top-tier cards, both old and new, alongside variant card art. The popular High Voltage mode also returns, adding an electrifying twist to your matches.

Before jumping back into the action, check out our Marvel Snap card tier list, ranking cards from best to worst. Even if you disagree with our rankings, we believe our reasoning will be worth your time.
