Get ready for the Pokémon GO Lunar New Year 2025 celebration! Niantic has announced a vibrant event running from January 29th to February 2nd, packed with opportunities to catch Lucky Pokémon, Shiny Pokémon, and earn fantastic rewards.
This event coincides with Pokémon GO's ninth anniversary, leading up to the summer and Pokémon GO Fest. It precedes Pokémon GO Tour: Unova (February 21st-23rd in Los Angeles and New Taipei City, global event in March), offering a chance to expand your Pokédex before the Unova excitement begins.
Event Details:
- Dates: January 29th, 10:00 a.m. to February 2nd, 8:00 p.m. (local time)
- Boosted Encounters: Increased wild spawns of Ekans, Onix, Snivy, Darumaka, Dunsparce, Gyarados, and Dratini, with boosted Shiny rates for select Pokémon.
- Egg Hatches: Makuhita, Nosepass, Meditite, Duskull, and Skorupi will hatch from 2 km Eggs.
- Increased Odds: Higher chances of obtaining Lucky Pokémon from trades and becoming Lucky Friends.
- Rewards: Stardust, XP, Zygarde Cells, and Pokémon encounters from Field Research, Timed Research, and Routes. A paid Timed Research ($2) offers bonus rewards including two Lucky Eggs and an incubator.
