The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered breathes new life into one of Bethesda's most cherished titles, enhancing its visuals, gameplay mechanics, and more. Yet, the team at Virtuos made a deliberate choice to retain one of the original game's most iconic and beloved lines, much to the delight of fans.
Veteran players of The Elder Scrolls series are well-acquainted with Master Speechcraft trainer Tandilwe, a High Elf located in the Temple of the One within the Imperial City. When Oblivion first launched on PC and Xbox 360 over 19 years ago, Tandilwe's need for speech training was humorously evident. One of her voice lines includes a recording that many believed was mistakenly left in, featuring actress Linda Kenyon seemingly taking another attempt at delivering her line.

As players embarked on their journey through the revitalized world of Cyrodiil, many were eager to discover how faithfully the game had been remastered. While numerous environments, character models, and items have been meticulously updated, fans have expressed joy at the preservation of many of the original game's charming imperfections. Tandilwe's now-famous blooper has returned, unchanged and without subtitles, much to the delight of the community.

In a 2019 interview with YouTube channel Jake 'The Voice' Parr, Linda Kenyon, upon learning about the infamous blooper, humorously defended herself, stating, "It wasn't my fault!"
As thousands of players dive into The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, debates rage on about whether the re-release should be considered more of a remake than a remaster. Nevertheless, many are thrilled to see that much of the original game's unique charm and quirks have been preserved. This aspect was something both Bethesda and Virtuos were committed to maintaining, and it appears to be resonating well with both new and returning players.
