The newest installment in the Oceanhorn franchise, Chronos Dungeon, takes a bold departure from its predecessors. Unlike previous 3D entries, this chapter embraces a nostalgic top-down pixel art style reminiscent of classic 16-bit arcade games.
Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon's Premise
The once-magnificent White City has vanished beneath the waves of time, leaving behind fragmented islands adrift in the Uncharted Sea. Amid these ruins of a fallen kingdom, four seekers embark on a quest for legendary artifacts and lost arcane knowledge.
Their ultimate goal is the Chronos Dungeon - an ever-changing subterranean labyrinth where the past itself might be altered. At its heart lies the Paradigm Hourglass, an ancient relic rumored to manipulate time.
Surviving this challenge requires skill. The dungeon dynamically reshapes itself, guaranteeing unique layouts with each attempt. Adding another layer of complexity, your party's abilities are influenced by their zodiac signs throughout the expedition.
Players can choose between four distinct classes: the stalwart Knight, versatile Huntress, cunning Grandmaster, and powerful Mage. Each champion can be swapped seamlessly during gameplay.
Designed for cooperative play with up to four participants, the game also accommodates solo adventurers controlling the entire party. Should teammates disconnect during multiplayer sessions, remaining players automatically inherit control of abandoned characters.
