- Persona 5: The Phantom X launches its substantial version 2.0 update
- This release introduces a fresh story chapter and the new urban district of Kichijoji to discover
- Riko Tanemura also joins the roster as a new party member
Despite some controversy (particularly for those with traumatic memories of subway pushing incidents), Persona 5: The Phantom X has enjoyed a positive reception. The game now reaches version 2.0 with significant new content.
The highlight is a completely new story chapter - phase one of chapter three, titled Unconditional Love. Kokatsu Academy welcomes a new education consultant whose distorted sense of justice appears to be causing trouble. Naturally, you and your fellow Phantom Thieves must investigate the situation.
This narrative expansion introduces Riko Tanemura (Code name: Wind) to your team. Previously associated with the Disciplinary Committee, Tanemura serves as a strategic commander and support character. She executes impressive All-Out Attacks while reducing enemy Down Points, plus she boosts the entire party's HP, Attack, and Defense at battle start.

Moving Forward
Although Phantom X's subway pusher storyline received mixed reactions, the game continues to deliver compelling content through this new narrative and character.
The update adds the Kichijoji district, complete with additional part-time jobs, new characters, and hidden stories. Players can also obtain the new five-star Phantom Thief Ayaka Sai through Most Wanted Phantom Idol Contracts, alongside the Silent Pistol available via Arms Deals.
