Boosting EXP with Accessories and Confidants

Team Glasses: Equip the free DLC Team Glasses accessory on each character for a 15% EXP boost. Remember, only active party members receive the full benefit.

Mishima Yuuki's Confidant (Moon Arcana): Ranking up Mishima's Confidant provides EXP to reserve party members. Reaching Rank 3 grants them some EXP, while Rank 5 increases it further. At Rank 10, they gain the same EXP as front-line fighters. Remember to choose dialogue options he favors and bring a Moon Arcana Persona. His Confidant missions are now linked to Mementos assignments.
Mementos: Optimizing EXP Gain
- Jose's Shop: Jose, a new character in P5R, offers Cognition adjustments in Mementos. Exchange collected flowers and stamps for increased EXP, money, or items. A 110% EXP boost costs 5 stamps, while a maximum 200% boost requires 12. There are 165 stamps in total; 85 are needed to max EXP. Find Stamp Stations in Mementos dead ends behind breakable walls.
Confronting the Reaper
- Reaper's Level and Strategy: The Reaper, a powerful recurring enemy, appears in Mementos after prolonged stays on a floor. He's level 85 with high stats. Defeating him yields significant EXP and money. Aim to fight him at level 60 or higher. Utilize defense-boosting skills and Makarakarn to reflect his magic. Izanagi-no-Okami (Picaro) users can leverage Concentrate, Heat Riser, and Myriad Truths for massive Almighty damage.
Defeating Treasure Demons
- Summoning and Strategy: Treasure Demons are harmless Shadows that appear in Palaces (especially with high security) and flee after a few turns. They're vulnerable to Almighty attacks. Use Shinya's Rank 1 ability, Down Shot, for an All-Out Attack or a high-crit move like Morgana's Miracle Punch (if they don't null Physical). Craft the Treasure Trap infiltration tool (2x Silk Yarn, 3x Plant Balm, 1x Cork Bark) to increase encounters.
Leveraging Persona EXP Skills
- Growth Skill: Unequipped Personas normally don't gain EXP. The Growth skill mitigates this. Growth 1 grants ¼ EXP, Growth 2 grants ½, and Growth 3 grants full EXP. Several Personas learn Growth at various levels (see table in original text). Growth 3 Skill Cards are obtainable from Izanagi Picaro in the Electric Chair. Growth 2 cards are acquired by spending time with Caroline and Justine at Miura Beach (September 2nd-29th, after event 6). Growth 1 Skill Cards are unavailable in P5R.
Unlocking Insta-Kill
- Ryuji's Confidant (Rank 7): Reaching Rank 7 in Ryuji's Confidant unlocks Insta-kill, allowing instant Shadow defeat if Joker's level is 10 higher. Use the Third Eye to identify susceptible Shadows (green outline). Ryuji's Confidant has no Social Stat requirements, making it easy to max out quickly.
