When Are Shiny Pokémon Arriving in Pokémon TCG Pocket?
Mark your calendars for March 27th, 2025, when the Shining Revelry expansion launches. Fans can look forward to pulling Shiny versions of popular Pokémon such as Charizard ex, Lucario ex, and Pachirisu. These cards will shimmer when tilted, adding a dynamic visual effect to your collection. Starting April 1st, you can also get your hands on a Shiny Charizard-themed display board and binder.
Alongside the Shiny Pokémon, characters from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will join the fray, including Tatsugiri, Sprigatito, and Iono. From March 28th to April 27th, new ex Starter Deck missions will be available, offering you the chance to earn a deck ticket that can be exchanged for one of nine starter decks.
Shiny Pokémon have a storied history in the Pokémon TCG, first appearing in the Neo Destiny set from the second generation of the games. The Hidden Fates set later set the standard for modern Shiny cards with its impressive Shiny Vault.
Ranked Matches Are Finally Coming!
Exciting news for competitive players: ranked matches are finally coming to Pokémon TCG Pocket. The first season will commence on March 28th and conclude on April 27th, featuring the new cards from the Shining Revelry expansion. You’ll be matched against players of similar skill levels, and at the end of the season, you’ll earn an emblem to showcase on your profile based on your final rank.
