Legendary Dynamax Pokemon Arrive for Limited Time
Featuring the Legendary Bird Trio: Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres
The Dynamax versions of Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will appear sequentially in Pokemon GO between January 20 and February 3.
Players can encounter these colossal legendary birds in five-star Max Battles at Power Spots. Each legendary will debut on successive Mondays with this schedule:
- Dynamax Articuno: January 20
- Dynamax Zapdos: January 27
- Dynamax Moltres: February 3
Each Dynamax legendary will remain available for raids throughout its featured week. Special "Legendary Flight Timed Research" will offer encounters with Pokemon featuring boosted Shiny rates - perfect for battling these legendaries. Participants can also earn Candy and Max Particles for powering up their Pokemon:
- Articuno Week (Jan 17-20): Charmander, Beldum, Scorbunny
- Zapdos Week (Jan 24-27): Drilbur, Cryogonal, Grookey
- Moltres Week (Jan 31-Feb 3): Squirtle, Krabby, Sobble

Niantic has revealed new details about the upcoming Pokemon GO Tour: Unova global event. All players worldwide will receive a free Tour Pass starting February 24, 2025, with optional upgrades available.
The base Tour Pass allows players to collect Tour Points through March 2, earning various rewards by ranking up during the event.
Upgrading to the Tour Pass Deluxe ($14.99) provides immediate access to Mythical Pokemon Victini and unlocks a new Lucky Trinket upon reaching max rank. This exclusive item lets players temporarily activate Lucky Friends status for guaranteed lucky trades.
