Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's Snake-Themed Mass Outbreak Event
A special Mass Outbreak event is now live in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, celebrating the Year of the Snake! This event significantly boosts the appearance rate of Silicobra, Ekans, and Seviper, with increased odds of encountering their Shiny variants.
This limited-time event, running from January 9th to 12th, offers players a chance to stock up on these serpentine Pokémon. Silicobra will appear across Paldea, Ekans in Kitakami, and Seviper in the Terarium. Pokémon levels will vary (10-65) depending on player progression in the main storyline.
To participate, players must connect to the internet, access the Poke Portal via the in-game menu, and select "Get Poke Portal News." This will reveal the active Mass Outbreaks.
This event follows the recent Shiny Rayquaza Tera Raid, a fitting end to the Year of the Dragon. The future of Scarlet and Violet in 2025, particularly with the anticipated launch of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, remains uncertain.

- Shiny Rate Boost: 0.5% increase before multipliers (Shiny Sandwiches recommended)

Shiny hunting strategies are encouraged! Using Shiny Sandwiches will further enhance your chances of catching a Shiny Silicobra, Ekans, or Seviper. Remember to utilize the appropriate Herba Mystica and ingredients: Salty or Spicy Herba Mystica with a Green Bell Pepper for Ekans and Seviper, and Ham instead of a pepper for Silicobra.
