New Girls’ Frontline Spinoff Project NET Opens Pre-Registration and Shock Point Test

Project NET Pre-Registration Now Open

Excitement is building among fans of the Girls’ Frontline series as the new third-person shooter mobile game, Project NET, has officially opened its pre-registration. The developers made the announcement on their South East Asian (SEA) Twitter (X) account on March 3, 2025. To get started, eager players need only visit Project NET’s official SEA website and hit the Pre-Register button. There, they'll enter their email address and select their preferred device, be it iOS or Android. The same pre-registration opportunity is now also available on Project NET’s official Russian (RU) website, broadening the game's reach.

SEA Shock Point Test Recruitment for Philippines Only

Adding to the anticipation, Project NET has launched a beta test known as the "Shock Point Test," announced via their SEA Twitter (X) account on March 4, 2025. This test, however, is exclusively for players in the Philippines and will run on Android devices. It’s a limited-access, non-monetized test where all data will be wiped post-test. The Russian region will also see the Shock Point Test, with more details on the RU website. As the developers fine-tune the game, they're gearing up for a global release across various countries and regions.

For those looking to join the SEA Shock Point Test, the recruitment questionnaire must be completed. Successful applicants will receive their confirmation emails between March 24, 2025, and March 26, 2025. Test qualifications will continue to be distributed throughout the testing period, the dates of which are yet to be revealed.

Project NET First Announced in December 2024

The journey of Project NET began when Sunborn Network, the creators of the beloved Girls’ Frontline mobile game, announced on December 27, 2024, that they were working on this new third-person shooter for mobile. The game's first localized initial test took place in SEA countries from January 9, 2025, to January 16, 2025, covering Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

The Girls’ Frontline franchise, which originally launched as a strategy RPG gacha game in 2016, has since expanded into an anime series and other spin-offs. The latest addition to the series, Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium, hit the market on December 5, 2024. As a part of this beloved series, Project NET promises to bring back familiar characters and the distinctive aesthetics fans have come to love.

While there's no official word yet on a release date for Project NET, it's currently set to be available on both iOS and Android, based on the devices used during its initial testing phase.
