The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has kicked off, marking the first major international PUBG Mobile esports event of the year. With over 90,000 competitors vying for a share of the $500,000 prize pool, the Open Qualifiers, which began February 13th, offer a significant opportunity for rising stars to make their mark.
This year’s tournament focuses on showcasing fresh talent, exclusively open to amateur teams. Teams featuring at least one Ultimate 500-ranked player from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. Over the coming weeks, aspiring squads will compete fiercely for a coveted spot in the PMGO Prelims, where they'll face off against the top teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.
Twelve teams will ultimately emerge from the Prelims to challenge the elite professional teams in the PMGO Main Event. Four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already secured their Main Event berths based on their impressive performances at the PMGC 2024. Four additional teams will qualify through regional competitions, including the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.
The Open Qualifiers run until March 2nd, followed by the Prelims on April 10th-11th, culminating in the Main Event on April 12th-13th. This tournament signals the start of a thrilling year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and PMGC also on the 2025 calendar.
