If there was ever any question about the magnitude of the Rolando-Garros eSeries by Renault, this year’s numbers put it to rest. A staggering 515,000 players from 221 countries competed across 9.5 million Tennis Clash matches in pursuit of a coveted spot in the Final Stage—only eight made it through.
Headlining the list is reigning champion Alessandro Bianco, who will defend his title on May 24th at the Roland-Garros Tenniseum. He’ll be joined by Hizir Balkanci—the winner of the first Open Qualifier—as well as seven other elite competitors: Anyndia Lestari, Omer Feder, Adjua Thembisa Boucher, Eugen Mosdir, Bartu Yildirim, and Samuel Sanin Ortiz.
This year’s format promises even more excitement than before. The eight finalists will be divided into two teams, each led by a tennis legend. Former ATP World Number 6 and 2023 finalist Gilles Simon will captain one side, while former Wimbledon Champion Marion Bartoli leads the other.
The competition kicks off with team battles, followed by progression into the Winner Bracket. However, those eliminated won’t be out of the picture just yet—they’ll enter the Loser Bracket for a final chance at redemption. From there, teamwork dissolves, and only one player will rise to claim the ultimate title of Roland-Garros eSeries Champion.
Adding flair and entertainment to the event is renowned French streamer Samuel Etienne, boasting over one million followers on Twitch. He will be joined by esports analyst Quento and former Tennis Clash world number one Benny (GP365). The tournament will mirror the iconic atmosphere of Roland-Garros, featuring a digital replica of the legendary Philippe-Chatrier court, custom-designed outfits, and line calls from respected French umpire Aurélie Tourte.
A live audience of 250 spectators will experience the action firsthand at the Tenniseum auditorium. Meanwhile, fans worldwide can tune in via Samuel Etienne’s Twitch channel or the official Roland-Garros YouTube channel starting at 4pm CEST on May 24th. Expect full match coverage, interactive segments, and appearances from special guests blending passionate discussion with lighthearted fun at the intersection of tennis and [ttpp].
