Sony Bravia X93L Review by Jaron Schneider

"The Sony X93L isn’t cheap, but it largely earns its price through very good image quality powered by top-tier processing that results in a fantastic gaming experience."

Released in March 2023, the Sony Bravia XR X93L stands as the second highest-end non-OLED TV in Sony's lineup, just behind the X95L, which was exclusively available in an 85" size in the US. The X93L features Mini LED technology, which shines in HDR content. Mini LED uses an array of smaller, more numerous LEDs that can independently turn on and off, significantly enhancing black levels and contrast ratios.

Gamers will find the X93L particularly appealing. It boasts four HDMI ports, with two being HDMI 2.1, enabling 4K output at up to a 120Hz refresh rate. This feature is ideal for current-generation consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. While the upcoming Switch 2 will cap at 60fps in 4K when docked, you won't need HDMI 2.1 for that system.

For Android smartphone users, the Sony Bravia XR X93L integrates the reliable Google TV smart interface. It's user-friendly, effective, and allows you to use your Android device as a remote, adding to the convenience and seamless user experience.
