Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon is leaving Netflix Games. Developer Yacht Club Games announced the news, stating they are exploring other distribution options. The game will remain available on Steam, Switch, and PlayStation 4.

This follows the recent positive news of Squid Game: Unleashed becoming free-to-play. While players who accessed the game through Netflix will lose access, Yacht Club confirmed they are investigating alternative avenues, hinting at a possible standalone mobile release. However, this isn't expected immediately.

The removal highlights a key risk of subscription gaming services: reduced ownership compared to traditional digital purchases. When games are removed, players rely entirely on the developer for future access. Yacht Club Games likely has options for future releases, barring any contractual limitations. A potential return in 2025 is possible.

For now, numerous other games are available. Check out our top five new mobile games this week for more options!
