Compulsion Games' narrative designer, Zaire Lanier, unveiled the game's story, set in the fictional town of Prospero, a blend of Southern landscapes – from flooded plains and murky swamps to the Appalachian mountains. The story follows Hazel, whose search for her mother, lost after a devastating hurricane, leads her to uncover her own magical heritage and a fantastical realm of Southern legends.
Hazel discovers she's a Weaver, capable of manipulating the threads of fate. Her journey is fraught with peril, as she encounters Haints – corrupted creatures spreading decay. Using her Weaving powers, Hazel must cleanse them and restore balance to Prospero. Early access begins April 3rd, 2025, with the Premium Edition ($49.99), while the standard edition is $39.99, and Game Pass subscribers can play on launch day.
