To participate, you'll need to purchase an event ticket from the Monster Hunter Now shop, which will grant you access to uninterrupted Elder Dragon Interceptions focused solely on the elusive elder dragon, Chameleos. During the event, there will be no waiting periods between Interceptions and Hunt-a-thons, allowing for a seamless hunting experience. As part of the event, the Spring Hunt 2025 introduces Event Exchange Hubs. Two hubs will be available: the Spring Hunt Eve Exchange Hub, which will open from May 19th at 9:00 a.m. until June 2nd at 11:59 p.m. During this period, you can collect tokens by defeating large monsters or elder dragons, from May 19th to May 25th. These tokens can then be exchanged for valuable items such as a Silver Rathalos Plate, Glavenus Plate, Wyvern Gem Shard, and more, enhancing your hunting arsenal.

Chameleos, the elder dragon spotlighted in this update, is notorious for its stealth abilities and the mysterious fog it emits, which can impair visibility during hunts. Starting May 24th, 2025, you can engage in Elder Dragon Interceptions to confront this vanishing menace. Hunters ranked 100 or above will have the opportunity to encounter Chameleos in 8-star Elder Dragon Interceptions once they enter a preliminary state, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on the 24th. To maximize your chances, equip your gear with elements that Chameleos is weak to: Fire, Dragon, and Blast.
Successfully defeating Chameleos allows you to craft the new Mizuha Set armour, which features the Chameleos Venomist skill. This skill reduces the duration of poison and venom effects on you by half and increases your ability to inflict poison on your targets, giving you a significant advantage in combat. The materials from Chameleos can also be used to craft a wide range of weapons, including Dual Blades, Great Sword, Long Sword, Hammer, Gunlance, Switch Axe, Charge Blade, and Bow.
