Talk to Professor Lodochka at Wild Island
Proceed to the Wild Island mission marker, locating Professor Lodochka at Quite's Camp. Expect an immediate priority: eliminating mercenaries marked on your map. These enemies are readily visible, but be prepared for further encounters. Equip yourself accordingly. Eliminate all mercenaries to reveal Lodochka's location and unlock the optional "Activate the Ventilation System" objective.
Activate the Ventilation System
Consult your map for a fuse location. After retrieving it, another marker will appear to the north, indicating the engineering rooms. An invisible enemy awaits; be vigilant. Inside the shelter, navigate to the engine room and use the fuse to restore power to the ventilation system. Completing this optional objective simplifies the main mission, though it offers no unique rewards.
Find the Signal Source
Before proceeding, consider acquiring better weaponry. The next objective is a cave entrance near the water. Navigate westward through the caverns, overcoming obstacles and utilizing a broken pipe to reach higher levels. Locate the large cone-shaped spire and retrieve the emitter from the marked point nearby. An invisible enemy will again pose a threat on your return journey. Finally, return to Professor Lodochka to complete the mission and unlock "Hornet's Nest."
