What's New in the Jupiter Expansion of Stellar Mercenaries?
The Jupiter Expansion transforms Jupiter and its moons—Ganymede, Io, and Europa—into dynamic battlegrounds. Each moon presents unique challenges: Ganymede is a desolate wasteland, Io is strewn with volcanic debris, and Europa is a frozen and treacherous landscape. Jupiter itself is a tumultuous arena filled with storms.
New factions have emerged in this expansion. The Jovian Empire, a formidable military force, aims to control the region, while the Pirate Council, a chaotic alliance of outlaws, adds a layer of unpredictability to the gameplay.
Players can now engage in 50 new missions with diverse objectives. These include hyperspace hunting, piracy, escort, and train defense missions, offering fresh ways to test your skills and strategies.
The update introduces six new ships: Raider, Goblin, Mako, Boxer, Lightning, and Skybreaker, each with unique capabilities. Additionally, a new arsenal of weapons has been added, including the Hyper Velocity Mortar, Plasma Seeker, EMP Rockets, Mauler Cannon, Electron Beam, and Neutron Beam, allowing for more customization and tactical options.
There Are New Hazards, Shields, and More
The Jupiter Expansion brings Tier 4 shields and armor, enhancing your defensive capabilities. New hazards such as asteroid fields, elite enemy squadrons, and the formidable Pacifier await you. Some enemy mercenaries have evolved into new classes, including Nightmare, Riot, and Warhawk, making encounters more challenging.
To complement the intense gameplay, the expansion adds 14 new music tracks, enhancing the atmosphere as you navigate through space. A new side missions system also introduces additional content to explore.
