DC Studios has unveiled a brand-new Superman trailer, offering a three-minute glimpse into the highly anticipated film.
Directed by James Gunn and scheduled for release on July 11, 2025, the movie features a sprawling lineup of superheroes and villains, with the trailer providing a clearer look at these characters. We see Nathan Fillion in action as Guy Gardner / Green Lantern, effortlessly batting away enemies, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and the best look yet at María Gabriela de Faría's portrayal of The Engineer.
The trailer confirms that The Engineer is responsible for destroying the robotic caretakers in Superman's Fortress of Solitude, which likely includes Kelex. (A previous trailer showed a grieving Superman cradling a damaged Kelex in the aftermath of a fight.)
During the confrontation, Krypto the Superdog is seen delivering a powerful flying punch to The Engineer. It's clear that Superman's loyal canine isn't afraid to join the fray when it comes to taking down villains.
Additional highlights include Nicholas Hoult's Lex Luthor and Ultraman in action, along with more screen time for Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific and Anthony Carrigan as Rex Mason / Metamorpho. The Hammer of Boravia, introduced in yesterday's teaser, makes an expected appearance in the full trailer—this new character, created by Gunn for the film, is widely believed to be Ultraman in disguise.

The relationship between Clark Kent and Lois Lane takes center stage, with Lois conducting an interview with Superman himself. The conversation appears to turn into a heated debate as they clash over the ethics of Superman's controversial involvement in a foreign conflict ("I wasn't representing anyone but myself... and the pursuit of good!"). In retaliation for his actions, The Hammer of Boravia launches an attack on Downtown Metropolis.
In another scene, seemingly from the battle with The Hammer of Boravia, a civilian helps Superman out of a crater. This moment stands in contrast to other footage showing public anger towards Superman, with people seen screaming and throwing objects at him.
