Ticket to Ride: Switzerland Expansion Brings New Routes and Challenges!

The popular digital board game, Ticket to Ride, is expanding its railway empire with the new Switzerland expansion. This addition opens up a route to Switzerland, introducing both country-to-country and city-to-city connections, adding a new layer of strategic depth to gameplay. Build your railroad network through Switzerland and its neighboring countries!

The expansion also delivers a festive gift to Ticket to Ride fans: two new characters and four new train tokens, perfect for the holiday season. Developer Marmalade aimed to provide a fresh and engaging experience, introducing new mechanics alongside new locations. These country-to-country and city-to-country routes demand careful strategic planning to maximize points.

Country-to-country tickets challenge players to connect specific countries, offering multiple choices and varying point values. For example, connecting France might offer routes to Germany, Italy, or Austria, each rewarding a different point total upon completion. Similarly, city-to-country tickets connect a city to a country. The number of nodes per country adds another strategic layer to route selection.

Points are awarded based on the highest-scoring connection completed for each ticket. Conversely, failing to complete a connection results in a point deduction based on the ticket's lowest value.

The Switzerland Expansion is currently available on Google Play, the App Store, and Steam, with releases on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox coming soon. Stay updated on Ticket to Ride news by following MarmaladeGames on Facebook and Instagram.
