Fueling the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater remake rumors: Singapore's rating board has listed "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4" for a 2025 release.
This rumored remake, encompassing the next two core entries in the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater franchise, is slated for a wide range of platforms. The rating board cites Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S as target systems.
While official confirmation remains elusive, a countdown timer within Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 hints at upcoming Tony Hawk's Pro Skater news, culminating on March 4, 2025.
Adding to the speculation, Tony Hawk himself mentioned renewed discussions with Activision, revealing they're collaborating on a project he believes fans will appreciate.
Following the highly successful 2020 remake of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2, a remake of games 3 and 4 seemed inevitable. However, Activision's 2021 integration of Vicarious Visions (the THPS remake developer) into Blizzard, dedicating them to Blizzard projects, presented a hurdle.
Hawk revealed that 3+4 was the original plan, even until the release of 1+2. But after Vicarious Visions' absorption, Activision sought alternative developers, ultimately unsatisfied with the proposals received.
The mystery remains: who's developing the potential Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 remake? The Singaporean rating board only lists Activision as both publisher and developer. March 4th appears to be the date for further announcements.
