As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO draws to a close, the Final Strike: GO Battle Week is set to commence on May 21st, 2025, and will run through until May 27th. This week marks the culmination of your journey with Kubfu, leading to its evolution into the legendary Urshifu. Excitingly, you have the choice between two distinct forms: the Single Strike or Rapid Strike style, depending on your battle achievements.
To unlock the Single Strike style, make Kubfu your buddy and conquer 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style during Final Strike: GO Battle Week, follow the same steps but target 30 Water-types instead.
In addition to the evolution challenge, a Special Research task will continue the ongoing Seasonal storyline. Available until June 3rd, 2025, this research offers Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon such as Charcadet, complete with a Special Background.
May 25th Is a Special Day
Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. Gigantamax Machamp will make its debut in six-star Max Battles from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event comes packed with bonuses to enhance your gameplay.
During this event, you'll need to travel only one-fourth the usual distance to earn Max Particles. The storage capacity for Max Particles will increase to 1,600, and all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles. You'll also receive 8× Max Particles from these spots and gain the ability to conduct two additional Special Trades.
Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage output of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can stack multiple mushrooms to extend the duration, though the damage boost remains constant.
