CD Projekt Red has officially confirmed that more details—and likely the first in-game look—at The Witcher 4 will be revealed during Epic Games’ State of Unreal event on June 3, 2025. The developer shared the news via social media, teasing “the innovative technology and features that will power The Witcher 4, and beyond,” setting high expectations for the presentation.
The State of Unreal keynote begins at 9:30 AM Eastern Time (3:30 PM CEST) and will stream live online. Given last year’s showcase featured an early glimpse at Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, fans anticipate a similar deep dive into The Witcher 4—potentially including real-time engine footage or even actual gameplay, moving beyond the CGI trailer previously released.
Notably, CD Projekt Red’s mention of tech that extends “beyond” The Witcher 4 has sparked speculation. Could this hint at future entries in the franchise starring Ciri—or perhaps a surprise tease of another Unreal Engine 5-powered project from the studio, such as a new Cyberpunk title?
With Geralt’s voice actor Doug Cockle recently defending the shift to Ciri as the lead—a move rooted in the original books—the studio is clearly focused on evolving the series with confidence. Stay tuned to IGN for full coverage and the first in-engine visuals from The Witcher 4 during State of Unreal 2025.
